About Us

Add a touch of elegance to your home or business with original tile murals from Tile Mural Art of Lewiston, California. In business since 2004 (as PortoDeMos), we have amassed a large collection of portuguese tile, azulejos, and tile mural art depicting country living, seascapes, maritimes, medieval and renaissance scenes, landscapes, florals, birds, baskets and religious themes. All of our tile murals are custom painted in Portugal. Supported by more than 30 years of experience, we work closely with you and our artisans in Portugal to ensure your mural turns out the way you have envisioned it.

Customization

Almost all of the murals in our collection may be expanded or reduced to fit your space. We can also turn your treasured photos into a custom-made, hand-painted tile mural.

Customization Options - Tile Type, Picture, Size, Frame

Tile Type - the base on which your design (or favorite mural) will be hand-painted. Two Options:

Manufactured Tiles: 6" x 6", unless otherwise noted.
Antique Hand Rolled Tiles: 5.5" long x 5.5" wide x 7/16" thick.

Picture - choose your favorite mural from our collection or send us a picture.
Size - most murals may be reduced or enlarged.
Framing - if you'd like a framed look, you have two options:

Having the frame painted onto the mural as pasrt of the mural.
Adding an external wooden frame (you would mount the tiles and do this yourself).

Grout Size - Most murals are fitted so tightly together that there is no real grout size. However, we would be happy to accommodate your preferences here.

The final size of your mural will depend on all of these factors. We are here to help you. Please consider your preferences, as described above, when speaking with your design consultant.

Shipping

All mural tiles are custom-painted in Portugal. Murals are not assembled before shipping. Rather, mural tiles ship individually wrapped and numbered for easy installation. Murals ship within four to six weeks from the time of the order.

Refund Policy

All sales are final. We will replace defective or broken tiles. Please refer to the number on the back of the individual tile and save the defective tile or broken pieces when contacting us with this problem.
